Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Legal Leaf ("the platform", "the service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using Legal Leaf on behalf of a law firm or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.
If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the platform.
2. Description of service
Legal Leaf is a software platform that enables law firms and solicitors to manage group litigation cases. The platform provides tools for claimant onboarding, identity verification (KYC), document collection and e-signing, case notes, and related case management functions.
Legal Leaf is a technology platform only. We do not provide legal advice and are not a law firm. Nothing on this platform constitutes legal advice.
3. Account registration
To use Legal Leaf you must register for an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Keep your login credentials secure and not share them with others
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use Legal Leaf only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not:
- Use the platform to facilitate illegal activity or fraudulent claims
- Upload false, misleading, or forged documents
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or any other user's data
- Interfere with or disrupt the platform or its infrastructure
- Use automated tools to scrape, extract, or copy data from the platform without our written consent
- Resell or sublicense access to the platform without our written consent
5. Data and privacy
Your use of the platform is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference. By using Legal Leaf you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Law firms and solicitors using Legal Leaf to manage cases are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary legal basis to process their claimants' personal data and for providing appropriate privacy notices to those claimants.
6. Intellectual property
Legal Leaf and all associated software, designs, trademarks, and content are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the platform for its intended purpose during the term of your subscription.
You retain ownership of all data and documents you upload to the platform. You grant us a limited licence to process that data solely to provide the service.
7. Payment and subscriptions
Access to Legal Leaf requires a paid subscription. Subscription fees, billing cycles, and payment terms are as described on our pricing page or as agreed in your subscription agreement. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
We may change our pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use of the platform after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Legal Leaf shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of legal opportunity.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Service availability
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may suspend the platform for maintenance, updates, or in response to security incidents. We will provide reasonable notice of planned maintenance where possible.
10. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, fail to pay, or if we reasonably believe your use of the platform poses a legal or security risk.
On termination, your right to use the platform ceases. We will retain your data as described in our Privacy Policy and provide you with a reasonable opportunity to export your data before deletion.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a notice on the platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
